Preparation
- 1Add the vodka, triple sec and fresh lime juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.

Historical Background
Kamikaze emerged in the United States during the 1970s. Its exact origin is disputed, with competing accounts placing its creation in New York, Florida, or at a U.S. military base in Japan. The equal-parts combination of vodka, orange liqueur and lime juice became particularly popular as a cocktail and later as a shot.
